Apportioned Effort

Definition

The Apportioned Effort is an activity that does not produce definitive end products (are not directly linked to the creation of the project product) and performed in proportion, with discrete effort and not divisible into discrete efforts.

It is one of three types of activities used to measure work performance as part of earned value management. It is measured by the passage of time and not as a specific WBS output.
